Radical Wholeness Workshop with Philip Shepherd

The Radical Wholeness Workshop with Philip Shepherd

Come Home to Your Body…
Our culture encourages us to live in our heads, exiled from the grounded, subtle intelligence of the body. The simple practices of this workshop empower the journey back home to your wholeness.

The Radical Wholeness 2-day workshop is a form of play that moves through a series of deliberate practices that help expose and soften the limiting patterns in which we are all entangled. We will journey through four themes using a series of simple yet potent exercises that help reawaken the body to its natural sensitivity. The work is gentle and profound, and offers you practical tools that you can use long after the workshop has finished.

To better understand what that looks like: the workshop is not about listening to the body, it’s about listening to the world through the body. It’s not about subduing the brilliant intelligence in the head, it’s about bringing it into balanced unity with the body’s intelligence. It’s not just about being present in the body, it’s about escaping the frenzied self-consciousness of our culture and attuning to the spacious ease and grace of the Present, with which you are in continuous exchange. All that, and it’s fun, too!

Developed as an experiential complement to Shepherds groundbreaking book, Radical Wholeness, this workshop offers skills and practices to last a lifetime. As they help you deepen into the unified intelligence of your being, you’ll feel yourself carried into the intimacy of the world. An experience of radical wholeness is simply an experience of your wholeness, rooted in the nourishment of the Present.

What is being asked of us is not a little thing. It is not just an add-on or an adjustment to our way of being; it is a different way of being. It is a revolution in consciousness. This journey into wholeness is a revolution that the entire planet is crying out for—and it can only begin with individuals like you making a personal choice.”

About the Facilitator:
Philip Shepherd is celebrated as an international authority on embodiment. He travels the world teaching The Embodied Present Processâ„¢ (TEPP), a unique set of practices he developed for reuniting the anxious, restless pace of the intelligence in the head with the deep, present and connected intelligence of the body. He is the author of two ground-breaking books, New Self, New World: Recovering Our Senses in the Twenty-first Century, and the newly published Radical Wholeness: The Embodied Present and the Ordinary Grace of Being. The books draw on a lifetime of research and experience and have been widely acclaimed for their original vision. Philips insights have been shaped by his adventures as a teenager, when he cycled alone through Europe, the Middle East, India and Japan; by his deep commitment to and studies of bodywork; by his experiences as an actor, playing lead roles on stages in London, New York, Chicago and Toronto; and by a burning desire for freedom that has illuminated his entire life. Philip spends much of his time giving TEPP workshops and talks around the world, and is training and certifying others to teach his work. When not traveling, he lives with his wife in a quiet, car-free community in Toronto in a home they designed and built.
