Workshop with Jaap Van Der Wal PhD.
Join us for an extraordinary workshop with Jaap van der Wal, PhD, a medical doctor now retired from the department of Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Maastricht, Holland. He worked as associate professor and later senior lecturer at various universities and schools in Holland. He also lectures on Medical Anthropology. In his research he specialized in the functional anatomy of locomotion and published about the functional architecture of connective tissue and fasciae as well as its (their) role in proprioception. But my main passionâ€, he states, still is the embryology. The two areas of kinesiology and embryology meet each other at the level of motion and form and join in Phenomenological Embryology and Dynamic Morphology. Thanks to this approach I also found a bridge between science and spiritualityâ€. He now travels all over the world with a project Embryo in Motion, teaching workshops on the latter topic. He teaches at institutes of Anthroposophy, Craniosacral Therapy, Osteopathy, Polarity Therapy but also of Trauma Therapy and Prenatal Psychology and others around the world for practitioners as well as laymen.
